“What
you can do or think you can do, begin it. For
boldness has magic, power, and genius in it.” Goethe
So why join Omnia Humanitas?
Because building is better than destroying.
Noble action is better than indifference.
Because although we hear people say, “That’s just the way it is,”
much of the time, it’s just not true. Each person is an individual worthy of attention, a fact that often
gets lost in the everyday rush of our lives.
Each person needs the chance to remember how capable and worthwhile they
are and how extraordinary life can be. There’s no reason things have to stay the same -
full of rush, distraction, and drudgery. We’re better than that.
Life is better than that.
That’s
why we’re building Omnia
Humanitas, a place where the bywords are generosity and attentiveness … to
those around us, here at hand, in our daily lives. It’s something we all
deserve, it’s something we all crave, it’s something we all long to give to
one another. Omnia Humanitas works
because its time has come. Join us.

Volunteer & Intern
For each
site we develop, Omnia Humanitas will maintain a ‘Things To Be Done’ Board
that lists daily and weekly tasks that need to be done and which volunteers can
sign up to tackle on an occasional basis. The ‘Things To Be Done’ Board will
be available at each physical location, and on-line.
To become an occasional volunteer, you will need to join Omnia.
To sign up on the ‘Things To Be Done’ Board,
you simply register for whatever task interests you and include a note
about the skills or background in that area that will help you complete the task
well. If you haven’t any background in that area, but are
interested in learning while helping, that’s okay too; someone will be
available to help you learn! (Some
of the more sensitive tasks may be restricted to those with experience in those
particular areas, although you’re still welcome to learn and then volunteer in
that area once you’ve gained some experience.)
If you
want to volunteer on a more regular basis, contact our Volunteer Coordinator to
arrange for a time when you can get together to work out how you and Omnia can
best work together.

And
coming soon … “Things To Be Done’ Board
