OUR MISSION
The
mission of Omnia Humanitas, Inc. is to promote individual and community
self-sufficiency and a responsible, respectful, and compassionate relationship
with one another and with the world by thoughtfully integrating the physical,
emotional, social, and intellectual aspects of life.
To
this end, Omnia will 1.) revitalize
and redevelop neglected, abandoned, in-fill, or otherwise appropriate sites for
the benefit of the community, and on these sites 2.) create and promote systems
of integrated self-sustaining programs that allow the public, to: a.) pursue
life-long, liberal education; b.) to learn and to employ sustainable building,
living, and agricultural practices; and c.) to participate actively in crafts,
music, fine art, and other cultural activities.
WHO
WE ARE
We
are a group of people who are dedicated to helping others lead integrated,
fulfilling lives, not in an ordinary way, but in a completely radical departure
from the norm. We have decided to work together to build communities,
redefine education, demonstrate revolutionary ‘green’ technologies,
revitalize farmland, integrate the best of the modern and ancient, encourage
independence, curiosity, courage, and hope, and thereby lift people’s eyes
from the drudgery of common life to the goodness and nobility of action that is
possible for everyone. What we are
forging is Omnia Humanitas, a place for all things which are good for mankind.
